KAPA patients receive a full continuum of care administered by a network of more than 2,900 physicians and providers, along with all area hospitals, who donate services to help our neighbors in need.

Expanding the Mission

Care Goes Beyond the Doctor's Office

Knoxville Area Project Access was created to help low-income, uninsured individuals gain access to health care. Over time, that mission expanded to recognize something equally important: health can also be shaped by the challenges people face outside the doctor's office.

Since 2017

Addressing More Than Medical Needs

In January 2017, KAPA began expanding its services to address social service barriers through a pilot called KAPA Connects.

These efforts recognize that access to health care can be affected by challenges such as housing, transportation, food, substance dependency, and health literacy.

What Support Can Make Possible

Community support helps KAPA connect patients with care, education, navigation, and other services that can make a meaningful difference.

Provides $130 in donated care, navigation services, and case management services for neighbors in need.
